The Icelandic Centre for Research (RANNIS) supports research, research studies, technical development and innovation in Iceland. RANNIS administers competitive funds and strategic research programmes, coordinates and promotes Icelandic participation in collaborative international projects in science and technology.
The Technology Development Fund is a competitive fund and issues calls for proposals twice a year within a specific submission deadline.
Application deadlines are 15th of February and 15th of September. The Technology Development Fund has ISK 725 million (4,6 M€) at its disposal in 2013.
FUNDING IN ICELAND-GRANTS
Applicants may be companies, individuals, research institutes and universities.
The maximum contribution towards outstanding research projects can amount to a total of up to ISK 45 million (292K€) for a period of three years.
Funding rate in grants amounts to 50% of eligible costs.
